A Heartfelt Farewell and Thank You
We take this moment to reflect on the incredible contributions of our retiring Gateway Community College Foundation Board members: Helene Augustine, LaKisha Jordan, Holly Wheeler and Dr. Ena Williams
Your passion and dedication to supporting Gateway students have been nothing short of inspiring. From championing scholarships to creating opportunities that change lives, your efforts have left a profound impact on our community.
While we’ll miss your presence on the board, your legacy of commitment and service will continue to shape our mission and our college. On behalf of everyone at the Gateway Foundation, thank you for your invaluable contributions and unwavering belief in the power of education.
Wishing you all the best in your next endeavors!
A Testament to Dedication
As we bid farewell to our retiring board members, we reflect on the many ways they’ve helped shape the mission of the Gateway Community College Foundation.
For instance, Ena Williams’ collaboration with faculty and staff in the nursing program left a lasting impact:
“I have had the privilege of knowing Ena Williams since 2003 and currently working alongside her as a clinical partner for our Gateway nursing program. It has been both an honor and a pleasure to collaborate with Ena. She is remarkably down-to-earth and genuinely takes the time to connect with the people she works with. Ena is an exceptional mentor, providing invaluable guidance to both nursing students and nurses.
Her dedication is evident in her participation in our nursing students’ leadership seminars, where she shares her inspiring experiences from both bedside nursing and leadership roles. Ena’s unwavering support for the CT State Gateway nursing program is truly remarkable. Through Ena’s efforts, YNHH is now supporting more than 40 nursing student scholars. This is an incredible demonstration of financial assistance and a profound commitment to supporting our students. As an alum of CT State Gateway, Ena deeply understands the challenges our students face and is committed to helping them succeed. Her vision is to see our students graduate confidently and thrive as competent bedside leaders in their nursing careers.Thank you.”
