Board Sets Strategic Direction with New Mission, Vision, and Values
The Gateway Community College Foundation Board of Directors has formally adopted updated Mission, Vision, and Values statements, now reflected on our website.
This work represents a thoughtful review of who we are, whom we serve, and how we move forward. While our commitment to students remains unchanged, these statements provide renewed clarity and direction as we continue strengthening scholarship support and advancing student success at CT State Community College Gateway.
Mission
The Gateway Foundation raises, manages, and distributes private funds to support scholarships, student
aid, and program development at CT State Gateway. We are committed to removing barriers to
education and contributing to student success.
Vision
The Gateway Foundation envisions a future in which every Gateway student regardless of financial
circumstance has the resources, support, and opportunity to succeed. Financial contributors to the
Foundation today are enabling the Foundation’s continued investments in student success, yielding
lasting impacts for individuals, businesses, and the Greater New Haven community going forward. The
Gateway Foundation strives to be equitable and inclusive, student-centered, and collaborative.
Values and Beliefs
In furthering our mission and achieving our vision, we believe:
