Daniel N. Caron

A 35-year veteran in global biotech operations and management, Dan is currently the principal at TrussT Consulting, a firm focused on assisting companies optimize operational resilience. Dan has held executive and C-suite roles at several companies, most notably completing a 24 year tenure at Alexion Pharmaceuticals where he started as a member of the founding team and was instrumental growing operations to accommodate the organization's staggering growth from startup through IPO to a fully integrated global commercial entity.

Dan is widely recognized for his broad range of abilities, leadership and deep knowledge in all areas of global operations. He is especially passionate about working at the board level to help high growth companies and nonprofits through periods of transition and change management.

His nonprofit and community service include serving as vice chair for the Connecticut Community Foundation, participating on the Connecticut Employment and Training Commission’s career advancement committee and serving for many years as a house captain for HomeFront, revitalizing schools and homes for those in need. Dan is a member of AmeriCares Leadership Council and sits on the board of New Haven’s ConnCAT, a nonprofit focused on workforce development and urban renewal. He is also a member of the agricultural sciences advisory committee for the Connecticut’s Region 14 school district. Dan earned a Master of Science in Bioengineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Adelphi University.
