Gateway Alumni Career Panel & Career Day: A Day of Inspiration and Opportunity

The room was packed as the Gateway Community College Alumni Network hosted its very first Alumni Panel and Career Day—an event that brought together a remarkable community of students, alumni, and employers!

The energy in the room was inspiring as students and Gateway alumni connected. They generously shared their academic journeys and professional experiences. The Network volunteers  extends a heartfelt thank you to Foundation Board members Roberta Hoskie and Joseph Thomas, Interim Director of the Melton McAvay center for Equity and Social Justice at Gateway Dr. Licella Arboleda, and enthusiastic network member, Michael Anderson Jr., whose stories of perseverance and success were invaluable to the students eager to follow in their footsteps. The stories were insightful, informative and motivational.

Thank you to the employers who took the time to share opportunities with Gateway students. Your participation helped foster connections that could shape the futures of our upcoming graduates.

This event is just the beginning!

As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the Gateway alumni community, the Network is planning more initiatives like this, that will offer students new opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.

If you’re a Gateway alum, please join the Alumni Network and stay tuned for upcoming events, panels, and career development opportunities.

Together, we will build bridges between students, alumni, and the greater New Haven community, creating more opportunities for professional growth.
Stay connected by securing your seat at the alumni table at this years 27th annual hall of Fame.
We’ll see you at the next event!
