Gateway Radiography Students’ 100% Pass Rate!

CT State Community College Gateway’s Radiology Class of 2024 achieved a 100% pass rate on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists national certifying exam!

All 18 students took the exam and passed on their first attempt. One student achieved an impressive score of 96!

This outstanding success, the best rate since 2011, reflects the hard work and dedication of our talented students, and it speaks volumes about the commitment of Gateway’s exceptional Radiography team.

Julie Austin, Interim Department Director of Allied Health and Radiography Program Coordinator said, “A huge thank you goes out to Rich Thayer, Jaye Viola, Dave Votto, and our wonderful clinical instructors. Their support, mentorship, and guidance have been critical in helping our students reach this remarkable milestone”.

Thank you especially to the funders of a generous family foundation whose kind support helps CT State Gateway students succeed. The Foundation provides board review materials and underwrites the ARRT exam fees for each student.

This achievement is not only a great reason to celebrate students’ success, it also highlights that scholarship and community contributions make a difference.

The support of the family foundation and donors like you empower the next generation of CT healthcare professionals. By contributing to the Gateway Foundation, you ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way of Gateway students’ education and professional growth.

Did you know the Foundation’s annual Hall of Fame celebration is the most ambitious annual fundraiser for scholarships. You’re invited to join the fun.
