Investing in Students: How Gateway Faculty and Staff Give Back 

Each year, significant scholarship support is generously donated by the people who work most closely with CT State Community College Gateway students.  Many are faculty and staff labor union members who share a deep commitment to student success and invest through the Gateway Community College Foundation to remove barriers. 

At the recent Gateway holiday gathering hosted by Campus President Dr. Shiang-Kwei Wang, 4Cs SEIU Local 1973 leaders offered to match faculty and staff donations up to $2,000.  

This matching challenge unlocks even more opportunity for Gateway students and reflects a shared belief that students deserve every possible chance to get ahead, regardless of where they start, or the challenges they face.
