Keith Churchwell, M.D.

Keith Churchwell, M.D., President, Yale New Haven Hospital, will receive the Community Award. Dr. Churchwell was the first Black President of Yale New Haven Hospital, and his knowledge and focus on racial disparities in health outcomes helped Yale New Haven build outreach programs and treatment protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. His work bucked national trends, and improved health outcomes for many Gateway students and their families.
