Lindy Lee Gold serves as the commissioner’s representative to all Workforce Investment Boards, and the Governor’s Commission on Women and Girls

She has worked for her community as both an elected official and a tireless volunteer. She was on the Shubert Performing Arts Center Executive Board, the New Haven Board of Education (vice-chair, Intergroup Relations Taskforce), the New Haven Board of Aldermen and the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven (president and chair of Community Relations). She serves on the state board of the Anti-Defamation League and as an associate fellow at Yale’s Pierson College. She Chairs the Cornell Scott Hill Health Center Foundation. She was founder and president of Fellowship, Inc. and Cornerstone, Inc., and is past president of the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven.

Gold has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Emerson College and has received numerous awards for her leadership and philanthropic contributions throughout New Haven.
