Rick Callahan

Rick Callahan is an entrepreneur dedicated to growth and success. He started his first business at the age of 22 in a sublet office in a manufacturing facility in Meriden, Conn. He is the founder and Chief Executive Office of Krative, a branding, design, and marketing agency in the heart of downtown New Haven. As lead brand strategist and consultant for Krative’s client engagements, he always seeks the “next big opportunity” for his company.  

Krative has been recognized by Clutch, the leading ratings and reviews platform for IT, business, and marketing service providers, for three consecutive years: 2020 (one of the Top U.S. Branding Agencies), 2021 (a Top B2B Connecticut Company), and 2022 (one of the Top U.S. LGBTQ-Owned Companies). 

Rick also enthusiastically shares his knowledge, creativity, and industry “savvy” with other aspiring entrepreneurs. In 2010, he founded the Sprout Internship Program, a competitively sought internship program modeled after trade apprenticeships. From 2014-2016, he created and ran the “Let’s Grow My Biz” Workshop Series, which offered business growth insights to entrepreneurs, business owners, and decision-makers. In 2019, Rick was selected as “Entrepreneur-In-Residence” for the New Haven Free Public Library. He holds certification in in SEMrush for Digital Agencies and is a certified Life Coach.  

Rick earned his certification in Electronic Publishing at Gateway and went on to study at Southern Connecticut State University.
