Student Spotlight: Zoom in on Digital Video Production

Prepare to be captivated as we shine a spotlight on the remarkable talents and achievements of CT State Community College Gateway students enrolled in one of the campus’ newest curriculum offerings: COMM1601 Digital Video Production.

Gateway students recently dove into digital storytelling as they took the controls of Gateway’s TV studio to film an interview with Dr. Scott Kalicki Gateway’s Interim CEO. The experience was truly special because it was conceived, filmed and brought to life by the students themselves.

Under the expert guidance of instructor Nick Scalia, Gateway students rose to the occasion, demonstrated their creativity, technical prowess, and collaborative spirit. They set up equipment, directed the interview, and showcased their dedication and passion for the craft, transforming their vision into reality.

You’d be impressed, by the exceptional work the students produced. Their innovative approach and professional execution exceeded expectations. Featured here you will find a collection of behind-the-scenes photos capturing the energy and excitement of the filming session.

COMM1601 Digital Video Production provides the opportunity for hands-on learning experiences that empower students to unleash their full potential.
