Support Gateway students during May 3-4 Great Give
Every year, the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (CFGNH) invites caring people – like you! – to join the Great Give. The Gateway Community College Foundation will participate in CFGNH’s 36-hour online event Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3 and 4
You can look forward to matches and bonuses. It’s an easy, fun way to help the Foundation make a big difference in the lives of talented and hardworking Gateway students. Here’s how it works.
Beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, through 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, make your gift at https://www.thegreatgive.org/organizations/gateway-community-college-foundation.
Every gift – small or large – is greatly needed and much appreciated and will support:
· Academic scholarships
· Laptops for low-income students
· Vocational and workforce credential study courses and certificate exam fees
· Performances, clubs, and student activities
· Wraparound services and emergency needs
The Great Give 2023 marks the CFGNH’s 14th major community-wide giving celebration. Created to strengthen Greater New Haven nonprofits, it has raised more than $21 million since 2010. Last year alone, donors like you contributed to 510 area organizations and raised almost $3.5 million.
Are you a Gateway alum? Keep in mind the first $1,000 contributed by alumni to the Foundation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by fellow alumni Roberta Hoskie and Joe Thomas.
Additional incentives include a chance to win two tickets to an International Festival of Arts & Ideas program, gift certificates, and Gateway swag. Mark your calendars to be a great giver!
Pssst … Here’s a little secret for you! While the Great Give “officially” begins on May 3, you can make an advance gift beginning on April 28 at 8 a.m. Advance gifts count toward potential additional CFGNH matches and the grand prize.
