United in Purpose for Gateway Students
Each year, a dedicated group of mission-driven faculty, staff, and now, for the first time, community volunteers come together at CT State Community College Gateway to review scholarship applications on behalf of the Gateway Community College Foundation.
They carefully considered each student’s journey and dreams for the future. It was no easy task. With limited funds and so many deserving applicants, the decisions were often difficult. But the commitment was clear: to recognize, reward hard work, and remove financial barriers wherever possible.
Thanks to their care and collaboration, dozens of Gateway students will now be able to pursue their education with a little less stress and a lot more confidence.
To every reviewer who gave their time and attention to this important process, thank you. Your thoughtful choices helped open doors that might have otherwise stayed closed. You reminded Gateway students that their experiences matter, and that there is a community behind them cheering them on.
